Sonido Arrasando is a new, innovative Afro-Cuban jazz group that plays exciting repertoire ranging from the contemporary sounds of Orlando "Maraca" Valle to such masters as Mario Bauza, Miguelito Valdes, Clare Fischer, and Chick Corea. Sonido Arrasando tiene el sabor Latino.

Ric Frank - flutes
The band features world class flutist Ric Frank, who has been performing Latin music for many years. His first Latin gig was with Chino y Conjunto Melao at Town Hall in New York, backing up luminaries Ishmael Quintana and Ishmael Rivera. Having worked with Conjunto Melao for several years, Ric went on to perform with Louis Ramirez, Bobby Rodriguez y Nueva Compania, Ray Santos' Caribbean Music Experience, Henry Fiol y Corazon, Chi Hua Hua's Orchestra Metropolitana, and has shared the stage with Alfredo "Chocolate" Armenteros, Dave Valentine, Larry Harlow, Alfredo de la Fey, Oscar Hernandez, Arturo O'Farrill, and Armando Manzanero, to name a few.
Ric has studied flute in a variety of styles with such legends as Joaquin Oliveros in Cuba, Maricio Smith, Jeremy Steig, Julius Baker, and Samuel Baron. His immersive Afro-Cuban percussion studies include those with Cuban master Jose Eladio Amat and Conjunto Folklorico Nacional de Cuba, and Madeline Yayaodele Nelson of Women of the Calabash.
Coto Pincheira - piano
Coto has worked and recorded with Bamboleo in Cuba, and was the only non-Cuban pianist to ever hold down the piano chair in the orchestra at Havana's Tropicana Club in the Hotel Nacional.
Ratzo Harris - bass
Ratzo has performed and recorded with jazz giants Cal Tjader, Bill O'Connell, and Joe Henderson, Joe Lovano,Denny Zeitlin, Janet Lawson, Connie Crothers, Mose Alliison to name just a few.
Joaquin Pozo - congas
Joaquin is a recent émigré from Cuba, where he recorded multiple albums as a leader and performed with Cuban groups Oruum and Laye, as well as the famed salsa band from Colombia, Grupo Niche.
Chacho Ramirez
Chacho has performed or recorded with Ahmad Jamal, Baba Olatunji, Hector Martignon, Alex Blake, Bill Jacobs, Ron Gill, and many others, in addition to recording with his own bands, La Banda Ramirez and Metrotang.
